This GM 525 manual steering gear has a highly efficient ball bearing screw that greatly reduces steering effort. The gear is made with original OEM tooling and manufactured to original equipment specifications. This OEM gear was originally specified for use on all 1974-86 Jeep CJ 5, 6, & 7 and continues to be used today on a wide variety of electric, factory and multiple utility vehicles, along with forklifts as well as on-road / off-road equipment. The gear has a malleable iron housing, making it almost indestructible and sealed for virtually maintenance free service, performance efficiency, and lasting durability. |

This GM 525 Column 779 manual steering gear has a highly efficient ball bearing screw that greatly reduces steering effort. The gear is made with original OEM tooling and manufactured to original equipment specifications. This OEM gear continues to be used on Terex heavy duty earth moving equipment. With variations, the gear is also used on airport ground support equipment along with many other types of vehicles having front axle weights up to 10,000 lbs. Variations can include column lengths to suit, turning ratios, input / output options, mounting options, and are provided with/without horn wiring. These variations make the gear easily adaptable to various vehicle applications. Note: We also offer the GM 525 Column 534 manual steering gears. |
